Tom (Thomas) Winter is a self-taught artist and was born in Straubing, Bavaria.

His style is predominantly abstract and follows the approach of using recycled materials wherever possible.

The colours he uses are mainly acrylics, but also pigments, ink and spray paint.

In his works, Tom often tries to break up the flat surface of canvases or panels with strong textures and small objects.

Not only is he interested in exploring new forms, but he also likes to break with the usual rectangular appearance by using composite canvases and panels.

Although he pursued a career in IT, data protection and IT security after training as an engineer, Tom discovered his passion for art.
Initially, he engaged in digital art before deciding in 2016 to work artistically mainly with real canvases, objects and colours.
